| | Description | Of all things Catholic, there is nothing that is so familiar us the Mass. With its unchanging prayers, the Mass fits Catholics like their favorite clothes. Yet most Catholics sitting in the pews on Sundays fail to see the powerful supernatural drama that enfolds them. Pope John Paul II described the Mass as "heaven on Earth," explaining that what "we celebrate on Earth is a mysterious participation in the heavenly liturgy." | |

Brings a lot of questions to light Jun 25, 2010 I really like this book and recommend it to Catholics and non-Catholics, especially skeptics. Scott Hahn does a great job showing us the Bible in the Mass. As always, another GREAT book by Scott Hahn.

Enlightening take on The Book of Revelation and also on the Eucharist May 06, 2010 This book was suggested as extra reading along with a Bible study at a church. The study was entitled "The Bible and The Mass". Everyone that had gotten hold of a copy of "The Lamb's Supper" thought it was great. My husband didn't go to the study but read the book after I said how wonderful it was. It was the first time I had gotten an explanation of the Book of Revelation that seemed to make sense. Scott Hahn's books can convey information in a way most people can understand and also get them excited about it. I have a Presbyterian friend who is a librarian and also thought so much of it that she ordered it for our public library.

Awesome breakdown of what the Church is all about. Apr 07, 2010 I just finished this book. It's easy reading, and the author does an excellent job of breaking down the Roman Catholic Church's principles, values and beliefs.
Stripped down into layman's terms, this book will win your soul and bring you back to a better understanding of the core of the Church.
This book helps Catholics to better understand their own individual roles in the Catholic faith, as well as win back other souls, for whom have been sitting on the fence in regards to their own faith.

Another Protestant Convert to Catholicism Mar 22, 2010 Through my theological studies and honest reflection, I have come to understand the fullness of the Catholic faith and the Church as Christ intended. However, upon my return to the Church, my understanding of the Mass and its Scriptural foundations was shaky at best. This book gave me everything I needed to know to fully participate in this highest form of prayer. Dr. Hahn's book is a must read for new Catholics (as well as the cradle variety)!
