4Good Resource  Apr 26, 2009 By Paul A. Nelson
This is a good, visual overview of the Bible. It's a tri-fold glossy document on heavier stock paper.

Page one provides an overview of the Bible as a whole - what is it, how is it structured, who were the authors, and how was the content (canon) determined.

Page two continues this overview, briefly covering the relationship between the Bible and the Church (implied but not stated to be the Roman Catholic Church), the proper way of interpreting the Bible (explicitly Roman Catholic), and the usefulness of a defined reading program.

Pages 3,4 & the first part of 5 provide 1-2 sentence summaries of every book of the Bible.

The remainder of page 5 and page 6 are dedicated to indicating where in Scripture certain events and prophecies are recorded.

This item is a document of the Roman Catholic Church, vetted through the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur. While there is a Catholic flavor to the document as a whole, it remains a useful summary tool for any Christian seeking a quick-reference to Scripture. The only real area where Catholic doctrine is obvious is in the repeated emphasis on Scripture as part of sacred Tradition.

I would definitely recommend this resource to anyone wanting a handy quick reference on the Bible.

5Solid Bible help  Nov 11, 2008 By Robert Wheelock "If you do not live what you believe, then you will begin to believe what you live."
As is usual with the work of Dr. Scott Hahn this handy guide is full of readily useful information, attractively presented. This would be an excellent outline for young bible students as well as for instructors.

5The Bible at a Glance Faith Chart Excellent Aide  Apr 08, 2010 By Eastern Shores of Beauty "A Seeker of Light"
Upon receiving The Bible at a Glance Faith Chart written by Scott Hahn, I sat down & immediately read this Biblical Reading Aide from front to back. Who knew such an amount of information could be contained in a tri-fold chart? I found myself thinking back to scripture read previously, but which I did not feel I had truly understood the meaning.

This Faith Chart,as there are others, broke down the contents of the Bible in a way that I could read with more understanding. Mr. Hahn provides an aide to those who wish to enrich their Bible reading. He does so by providing short, concise synopses for the reader to gain a better view of history, prophets, saints, & God's Covenant with us through the sacrifice of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. I particularly appreciated section 2, "The Shape of the Bible." Within this section, the reader is able to understand how the Old & New Testaments support each other. Scott Hahn takes the enormity of the Bible & shows the reader how undertake this experience with joy versus trepidation.

Both adults and children will enjoy The Bible at a Glance Faith Charts! The Bible at a Glance well worth the small investment. Scott Hahn has provided an excellent guide for the new reader, a lapsed reader, devoted, and/or a theological studied reader of God's Holy Word.

Mr. Hahn has other Faith Charts available covering a variety of Biblical subjects. I highly recommend my first Faith Chart, The Bible at a Glance & will be purchasing others soon! For those who are interested in only books/phamphlets/readings with the approval of the Holy Catholic Church, The Bible at a Glance have the official Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur declaration on the last page.

Thank you for reading my review. I would appreciate any feedback on how to improve my writings.

5The Title does NOT do this product justice as it is MUCH MORE than a glance @ the Bible but an entire overview!  Mar 02, 2009 By Karla A. Voss
Another GREAT by Scott Hahn!! What more do you have to say than that?

5Faith Chart Review:The Bible at a Glance  Sep 11, 2010 By Shirley M. Johnsrud
The Bible at a Glance is an excellent resource for our Ladies Catholic Bible Study. Because of its brevity, it is not intimidating for those who have not had a lot of Bible study in their past. It discusses the story of Salvation History leading into the many authors and styles of writing that make up the Bible. It consists of many literary forms which serve as a basis for good discusion. It's overview of the Bible is extensive yet not overwhelming. It explains the books of the Bible through the Old Testament and the writings of the New Testament. It also includes a quick guide to find favorite stories and sayings. It is colorful, brief and very complete. It is definitely an excellent resource for Catholics and it even includes scripture passages that refer to the mysteries of the Rosary, readings at Mass, and scriptural references to the Sacraments.
