I am a visual person, and find I get much more out of the daily Mass readings when I can both hear and read them. The wording is slightly different than the new lectionary, but I prefer the missal reading as it does not use inclusive language.

This is the "old Missal" from Vatican 2, which they conveniently did not say in
their ad. It was cheap, but worth NOTHING. The shipping and handling is where
it is at for them, and we still had to pay that. We were taken advantage of.

Mass Much More Fulfilling With This Missal Jun 21, 2011

As an attendee at Daily Mass thought having a Missal would be helpful with the readings. Bought both Volumes 1 & 2. Not only has it been very helpful with the reading but I feel I am having a much fuller participation at Mass everyday. Another feature of the Missal is extra "Saint" feast day readings. Enjoying the St. Joseph's Missal every day....every Catholic whether they attend daily Mass or not should own one.

Great aid to praying the Mass Jan 25, 2011

Wonderful book to help you follow along during Mass, especially if your a visual person. If you miss a daily Mass you can always see the readings in your Missal when you have the time. Only problem I have is the translations of the scriptures are a little different then those at Mass so it makes it a little awkward to follow along, but overall a great buy!
