4Authorative Guide to the Mass  Sep 23, 2006 By Brad Shorr "Brad Shorr"
The Decree of Publication states:

"'The General Instruction of the Roman Missal' was canonically approved for use by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops on November 12, 2002, and was subsequenstly confirmed by the Holy See by decree of the the Congregation for Divine Worship..."

A thorough reference text for liturgical ministers and anyone interested in learning more about the structure of the Mass in its various forms, its meaning, and what alterations to the rite can and cannot be employed.

Its style is typical of official Church documents--formal, dense, and dry. But the Instruction is also straightforward, well organized, and brief.
