| | Description | Matthew Pinto& Katherine Andes There is no greater gift that a Catholic parent or teacher can give to a child than a firm grounding in the faith. When they are strengthened in their faith, a child can truly soar and develop into the person God calls them to be. These fifty Catholic flash cards will help you train your children in the love of God and the truths of the Catholic faith. They will equip young people to always "be ready to give a reason for the hope that lies within [them]" (1 Peter 3:15) Building on the success of the original Friendly Defenders, we are pleased to offer Friendly Defenders 2! In this new set of Catholic Flash Cards, kids will learn answers to some of the most commonly-asked questions about God, Jesus, the Bible, the Catholic Church, the Afterlife, and more. Each card includes an inspirational verse and a list of relevant Bible verses and Catechism | |

Excellent Tool Nov 10, 2006
By N. Andrusiak These cards are great. I'm using them with my children (7 and 9) as well as my 3rd grade CCD class. The kids love the format. The cards can be used in a variety of ways, even lending themselves to games. Each card answers a tough question in a quick, to-the-point way and backs it up with a Biblical references. While I don't expect most of these students to ever be in a debate defending their religion, I think it helps them with those internal debates that arise when they don't quite understand something about their religion. And I think I'm learning as much as the kids are!

Great way to learn the Catholic faith! Apr 07, 2006
By Samuel Dylan Hrncir The 2nd set of Friendly Defenders cards are just as wonderful as the 1st one. The questions on these ones are deeper than the 1st-which stayed primarily on Church teachings and where they are found in the Bible. The 2nd set has more, Why should I believe there's a God? type questions, which is a wonderful move up from the first set.
We use these in our weekly Catechism class.
The only possible complaint is the way Amazon advertises them. It says ring bound, but the ones they sent me are only flash cards, like the 1st set.
