Excellent Product May 03, 2010 I looked everywhere for a portable New American Bible - the one used by the Catholic Church. There are lots of other versions of the Bible from Franklin and others. Many offer the NIV. The NIV is very different from the NAB so don't buy the NIV and think you're getting a Catholic Bible. Although many other electronic versions of the Bible are readily available, the NAB is not available anywhere else that I looked, even after extensive Googling. I am extremely happy with this software. The only drawback is that you have to get a Palm OS or Pocket PC to use it. That can add quite a bit to the cost if you are only buying it to run this software. Fortunately they are readily available used. Of course, the whole idea of this software is portability so buying a Palm OS or Pocket PC really isn't a complaint. It is just that it would probably be cheaper if the NAB was available from Franklin. In any case, combined with my Palm OS, this is incredibly user friendly. I don't use bookmarks and whatnot, so I can't comment on that. I am in two separate Bible study groups so we often want to look up a particular verse without having to spend a lot of time locating it. For example, when a footnote makes reference to some other verse, I can look it up immediately. How quickly can you locate Psalm 118, verse 24? I can do it in about 8-10 seconds. (I picked Psalm 118:24 intentionally) The screen displays a list of every book of the Bible and you touch the one you want with the pointer. Then you select the chapter from the screen that comes up and then the particular verse from the next screen. Voila. Couldn't be easier. Please forgive the pun, but it is a real Godsend. Very very highly recommended.
Catholic PDA bible helpful Oct 09, 2009 Good solid PDA Bible. Nice to have one that covers the entire Bible including the dueteroconicals such as the Book of Wisdom. A relief to have a system of notes that is more in tune with my own faith rather than a more Protestant perspective. The split screen toggle is cumbersome. Search function works well. Notes helpful.

Convenient and Easy to Use Jan 09, 2007 I'm a theology major who had been toting her Bible back and forth to school for reference in various theology classes. It was getting pretty beat up pretty quickly. Plus, it was heavy. I started looking for a replacement - something light, able to take the wear & tear of living in my bookbag, and above all, something Catholic. My local bookstores weren't helping much. Then I found this. It's wonderful. Loaded onto my Palm Pilot, it adds no extra weight to my backpack whatsoever. The search and verse finder features are great and easy to use. It's such a kick, when talking theology/apologetics with friends, to be able to say, "Well, let's check the Bible," whip my PDA out, and do it on the spot. This is especially fun when I'm at swing dancing, where no one usually has a Bible. Plus, I love being able to look at the two translations simultaneously with the Split Screen feature. The customer service team at Olive Tree was great, making an extra effort to get me my software when a glitch with my address messed things up. Over all, I think this is one of the best investments I've made in a long time.

The best electronic Catholic bible Mar 23, 2006 I am very glad that I have purchased the Olive Tree PDA Catholic bible; honestly, it has taken me quite an effort to find a Catholic bible (NAB version) in PDA format. In North American market, mostly you can only find the unauthorized versions like KJV, etc. which I don't quite understand. Anyhow, it is a great product!

Olivetree Software, the best customer support Feb 23, 2005 On a scale of one to five stars, I give Olivetree Software a 6+.
They have provided customer support that I rarely see, be it online, or retail. The shipping & customer support person (Karen) has gone out of her way, to make sure I will be a repeat customer, and it worked, I'll be making future purchases from Olivetree Software.....Thanks Olivetree and Karen in particular, for all your help.
