This is truly one of the most wonderful collections of Catholic hymns I have ever heard. It will give many hours of truly inspiring music. I recommend this CD to all Catholics and Christians.

Gorgeous performances of Catholic favorites Jun 04, 2001

This is one of the best CDs I have heard in years! The singing is lovely but not overdone, and the selection of songs is impeccable! I highly recommend this to any Christian music fan. It will be especially powerful for anyone who has spent years in Mass listening to these moving and powerful songs.

This collection is simply wonderful. Although titled "Catholic Classics," this collection is not just for Catholics. It should be called "Christian Classics." I am an Episcopalian and most of the hymns here are familiar. Put this CD in the stereo, sit back, close your eyes, and in the words of the Psalmist, "Be still and know that I am God."

I don't know who said these weren't Catholic, but they haven't been to Mass in a long time. These are all the favorites that I sing and have sung in church for over 20 years. Volume 1 is even better. Some of the greatest songs for mass.

 Very Good Traditional Hymns May 30, 2004
It sounds like you are in Church, and that is what I was looking for. I especially like the Ye Watchers and Ye Holy Ones, Peace is flowing like a river, and Let There Be Peace on Earth.Some of the other songs were better done by other artists. Like Shepherd Me is done better by the original Marty Haugen. This version is good, but not as good as Marty's. And I was not particularly fond of this version of Amazing Grace. Overall I would recommend you buy a copy for your collection. The songs which are good, are very good.
